NACU introduced a new microcredentials program built from its twice-validated Healthcare Quality Competency Framework (8 domains, 29 competencies, 486 skills). Each microcredential is a self-paced e-learning package aligned to one domain and designed to build proficiency at the proficient-to-advanced level. Programs include courses, resources, a comprehensive multiple-choice assessment, an evaluation, and—upon passing—continuing education credit (CNE and CPHQ CE), a certificate, and a shareable digital badge via Credly/LinkedIn. Learners receive 90-day, on-demand access and may retake the assessment as needed during that period.<br /><br />The first microcredential focuses on Health Data Analytics to “demystify” data for quality professionals. It contains two courses: Data Collection (governance, collection plans, acquiring/integrating data, validation and maintenance) and Data Visualization (choosing/creating charts, dashboards, storytelling, and communication to stakeholders). The cumulative assessment has 30 questions and one hour to complete, with references back to course sections.<br /><br />Subject matter expert Tim McClung described the hands-on design, real-world SBAR case studies, downloadable tools/data sets (Excel-based), and tips to pace learning.
